New Arrivals: Over 10,000 Classical and Opera CDs!

Just when we were starting to get caught up with the huge 9,000 piece classical collection from a couple of months ago, we have been graced with two more very large collections totaling over 10,000 titles!  In the last two weeks, amongst many other smaller, we have purchased one of around 3,000 and another of over 7,000 CDs.

Almost all of these have been priced ?cheap?, under $5.00 per disc, with most in the $1.00-$2.99 range.  There is no real overriding theme to these collections.  There are tons of standard repertoire titles; symphonies, vocal recitals, full-length operas, chamber music, etc. 

We have rearranged the back of the store yet again; the classical singers section has been expanded and shifted to the left wall, and the middle aisle now has eight bins or so of cheap CDs.  We have now in stock the largest selection of cheap classical that we have ever had (at least as best as we can remember).

Due to the almost overwhelming stock level of the classical cheap CDs, we are experimenting by breaking them into three rudimentary categories; opera/vocal, instrumental, and the $1.00 per disc titles.  We haven?t completely finished but have made good headway.  You will find two very large sections (roughly 600 titles each) of the vocal-oriented CDs on the walls.  Please let us know if these kinds of divisions are helpful.  We very much want your feedback on how to make it easier to shop here.

Also, while we are featuring classical CDs today, please be assured that we have put out quite a bit of other genres on CD and LP.  We have been having good success buying just about everything. As a quick example, our new arrival non-classical LP section is brimming over with over 2,500 titles just from the last week or two!
